Die Temperaturdifferenz zwischen dem Pufferspeicher (Temperaturen von 50 °C - 80 °C) und der Umgebungstemperatur (ca. 15 °C) ist das ganze Jahr über gleich.
Derart hohe Temperaturspreizungen kommen in keinem anderen Bauteil über das gesamte Jahr vor.
Die optimale Dämmstärke liegt bei 30 - 50 cm.
